Mark Type | Example | Meaning | Key Selection Point |
Clamping Range | 25-40, 84-108 | Adaptable outer diameter range of hoses/pipelines (mm) | The outer diameter of the pipeline must fall within the range; it is better to be slightly smaller than larger. |
Material Configuration | W1, W2, W4, W5 | Component material combination (industry universal) | Determines corrosion resistance, pressure resistance and cost; core for engineering selection. |
Band Width | 9, 12, 12.7 | Steel band width (mm) | The wider the band width, the stronger the clamping force and sealing performance. |
Standard/Type | DIN3017, GERMAN TYPE | Implementation standard/hose clamp type (e.g., German type) | Match the installation working conditions and quality requirements. |
Brand/Batch Number | Shuang, No.3X | Manufacturer's mark/batch | Trace the source and quality. |
W1: Full iron galvanized (steel band + clamp head + screws) → Low cost, suitable for dry indoor and non-corrosive working conditions.
W2: Semi-stainless steel (steel band/clamp head 304, galvanized steel screws) → Cost-effective, suitable for slightly corrosive environments.
W4: Full stainless steel (304) → Strong rust resistance, suitable for outdoor, heating, ventilation and general chemical working conditions.
W5: Full stainless steel (316) → King of corrosion resistance, suitable for marine, offshore and strong corrosive chemical environments.
DIN3017: Implements German standard, worm gear type hose clamp;
W4: Full 304 stainless steel material;
12: Steel band width 12mm;
32-50: Adaptable to pipeline outer diameter 32-50mm.
MS: American-style hose clamp code;
8: Band width 8mm;
W1: Full iron galvanized;
8-12: Adaptable to pipeline outer diameter 8-12mm.
Check the range first: The outer diameter of the pipeline must be within the stamped range. For example, a hose clamp of 25-40 cannot be used on a 42mm pipeline.
Match the material second: Choose W4 for humid/outdoor environments, W5 for coastal/chemical industries, and W1/W2 for dry indoor environments.
Band width matching: Choose a band width of 12mm or more for high pressure and large diameter pipelines, and 8-9mm for low pressure and small diameter pipelines.
Pay attention to the unit: All stamps are in millimeters (mm), not inches, to avoid conversion errors.
❌ Mistaking the range for "pipeline diameter specification": For example, 64-80 is the adaptable range, not the pipeline diameter of 64mm.
❌ Ignoring the W code: The price of W1 and W5 of the same specification differs several times; using the wrong one in the wrong environment is prone to rust and water leakage.
❌ Choosing larger instead of smaller: An excessively large range will make the tail of the hose clamp too long, which is easy to loosen and affect the assembly space.
