Different working conditions (temperature, pressure, medium, environment) have completely different requirements on the material, process and parameters of the hose clamp. If the difference in working conditions is ignored and general-purpose hose clamps are blindly selected, it is easy to cause rapid failure of the hose clamp, leading to pipeline leakage, equipment failure and other problems. For example, selecting ordinary stainless steel hose clamps for high-temperature scenarios will cause softening and deformation; selecting carbon steel hose clamps for corrosion scenarios will cause rapid rusting and fracture. Today, we will provide a professional hose clamp adaptation guide for several common harsh working conditions to help you accurately match and avoid hidden dangers.

Working condition 1: High-temperature scenario (temperature > 150℃), such as automobile engine compartment, boiler pipeline, high-temperature reactor, etc. The core demand of this kind of scenario is high-temperature resistance. Ordinary 304 stainless steel hose clamps can withstand temperatures within 200℃. If the temperature exceeds 200℃, 316 stainless steel hose clamps should be selected, whose high-temperature resistance can reach more than 250℃. At the same time, it should be matched with high-temperature resistant surface treatment to avoid high-temperature oxidation. Our high-temperature special hose clamps are made of 316 stainless steel and undergo high-temperature forging treatment, which can adapt to high-temperature scenarios of -40℃ to 250℃, with stable locking force and no softening or loosening due to high temperature.
Working condition 2: High-pressure scenario (pressure > 1.6MPa), such as industrial high-pressure water pipes, hydraulic pipelines, auto parts high-pressure oil circuits, etc. The core demand of this kind of scenario is high strength and strong locking force. It is necessary to select hose clamps with bandwidth ≥12mm and thickness ≥1.5mm. The locking method is preferably bolt type or worm drive type to ensure tight locking and resist high-pressure impact. Our high-pressure special hose clamps adopt thickened steel strip design, and the locking force can reach more than twice that of ordinary hose clamps. After strict pressure testing, they can adapt to high-pressure scenarios of 1.6-4.0MPa, eliminating leakage problems caused by excessive pressure.
Working condition 3: Corrosion scenario (acid-base medium, humid environment), such as chemical workshop, marine equipment, outdoor humid pipeline, etc. The core demand of this kind of scenario is corrosion resistance. It is necessary to give priority to 316 stainless steel hose clamps, which contain molybdenum and can effectively resist corrosive media such as strong acids, strong alkalis and seawater; if the corrosion of the scenario is weak, 304 stainless steel hose clamps can be selected, matched with passivation surface treatment to improve corrosion resistance. Our corrosion-resistant special hose clamps are made of authentic 304/316 stainless steel and undergo double passivation treatment, which greatly improves corrosion resistance. They can be used stably in corrosive environments for a long time, and are not easy to rust or corrode.

It is necessary to select worm drive hose clamps, which have uniform locking force and are not easy to loosen. At the same time, the steel strip should be made of material with excellent toughness to avoid fracture and slipping caused by vibration.
